Appraisals Management Fellow
The Fine Art Group is an independent, global team of art appraisers, advisors and art finance experts committed to supporting clients at every level of art market activity, across its five core services: art advisory, art finance, art investment, agency, and valuation.

We are seeking a new Fellow to join our Fellowship Program and provide support to our Global Appraisals Team. This role will work directly with the appraisers and appraisals administrative team on all aspects of the appraisal process, including object and artist research, compiling appraisal reports, onsite visits and general administrative tasks. In-person position in our Conshohocken office is preferred, but virtual will be considered for the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS
- Project Management: Skillful in organizing, implementing, and managing projects and tasks including multiple timelines and deliverables simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Independent, pro-active, balanced approach with positive attitude under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A keen interest and corresponding work experience and/or studies in Art and Antiques.
- Computer skills: Apple Mac OS, MS Office, Photoshop, and internet research
- Available to travel for appraisal jobs and research as needed (with advanced notice)

RESPONSIBILITIES are inclusive of but not limited to:
- Assist in the research, cataloguing and valuation of personal property which can range widely from fine art to wine, jewelry and general contents
- Maintain and update client database records
- Provide support for on-site client visits and appraisals
- Format and edit appraisal documents
- Photoshop, edit, and crop images
- Photograph art and objects
- Researching artists and writing biographies for appraisal use
- Working with the Administrative Coordinator and team of interns to manage appraisal projects

Advisory Fellow
The Fine Art Group (TFG) is an international, independent art appraisal and advisory firm that offers hands-on fellowships for college students and recent graduates on a rolling-basis. Our fellowship provides the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in all the core elements of the art advisory division of the firm. The fellow will work directly with the extended art advisory team.

Knowledge of art history is essential and an academic specialization or practical experience in art advisory is a plus.

We are looking for college students and recent college graduates for our area staff on a FT basis. The position will provide support of art advisory management while working hand in hand with our team of experienced art advisors. This is a long term fellowship (6-12 months), with an eye to cultivating and creating a full time entry level employment opportunity at TFG at the end of this 12 month fellowship, for the right candidate.

We are looking for a Fellow who:

- Has a keen interest in and knowledge of fine art.
- Has an outstanding work ethic and know how to prioritize and manage their time efficiently and effectively
- Would be described by their peers as "detail-oriented," “professional," and "accountable"
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive managing multiple projects on tight deadlines
- Is a team player and has the ability to take initiative and think creatively while working autonomously
- Is excited to be a collaborative member of the team and learn the in’s and out’s of the Art Advisory industry

Fellowship Training Opportunities and responsibilities may include:

- Research and catalogue fine art
- Coordinate with auction houses, galleries, and shipping companies to ship tangible assets worldwide.
- Assist in communicating with clients to schedule collection and delivery of tangible assets.
- Track shipments to ensure safe travel and arrival.
- Assist team with collection management, sales and acquisition
- Formatting and editing documents
- Photoshop and photograph art
- Create client presentations via PowerPoint or Word
- Contact galleries, auction houses or conservators when necessary
- Assist in managing and placing consignments in exhibitions and museums globally
- Provide administrative support to the advisory team when needed

Agency Fellow
The Fine Art Group (TFG) is an international, independent art appraisal and advisory firm that offers hands-on fellowships for recent graduates and individuals with recent auction experience. Our fellowship provides the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in all the core elements of the art advisory division of the firm. The fellow will work directly with the extended art agency team. Knowledge of Art History and Auction Experience is essential and an academic specialization or practical experience in art advisory is a plus.


We are looking for individuals for our Philadelphia, PA area staff on a FT basis. The position will provide support of art agency management while working hand in hand with our team of experienced art advisors. This is a long term fellowship (6-12 months), with an eye to cultivating and creating a full time entry level employment opportunity at TFG at the end of this 12 month fellowship, for the right candidate. Candidates outside of Philadelphia, but located in the Northeast tri-state area will be considered.



We are looking for a fellow who:

· Auction & Collections Management experience highly recommended

· Has a keen interest in and knowledge of fine art (AND/OR antiques, tangible assets, collectibles etc)

· Has an outstanding work ethic and know how to prioritize and manage their time efficiently and effectively

· Would be described by their peers as "detail-oriented," “professional," and "accountable"

· Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive managing multiple projects on tight deadlines

Fellowship Training Opportunities and responsibilities may include:

· Update Agency Pipeline with client and advisor correspondence, make sure all signed agreements are attached to the corresponding deal

· Go through lost deals and see if there is any that can be brought back to market

· Liaison with auction houses and clients directly for smaller value property to get estimates

· Connecting clients who have agreed to consign with Director of Operations & Compliance to assure we run KYC checks

· Organize spreadsheets for property selling with Sale Dates, Lot Numbers, Estimates and Hammer Prices

· Create calendar invites for upcoming sales and watch auctions live to record our clients’ results

· Track our IC due for each sale and follow-up with auction houses for any missing or late payments

· Provide administrative support to the advisory team when needed

· Formatting and editing documents

· Photoshop and photograph art

· Create client presentations via PowerPoint or Word

· Other responsibilities as they pertain to the role

This Fellowship is paid.

Marketing & Business Development Fellow
The Fine Art Group is an international, independent art appraisal and advisory firm that offers hands-on internships and fellowships for college students and recent graduates on a rolling basis. Our program provides the opportunity to learn about the art world while working alongside our team of experienced advisors.

We are looking for college students and recent graduates for our Greater Philadelphia area office on a FT basis to work within our US base of operations in Conshohocken, PA – just across the street from the SEPTA line. This is a long term fellowship (6-12 months), with an eye to cultivating the potential for full time entry level employment for the right candidate.

QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Have a keen interest in the art and collectibles market
- Have an outstanding work ethic, know how to prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Thrive working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects on tight deadlines
- Is a team player, takes initiative and comfortable working independently
- An effective communicator and not afraid to ask questions

- Experienced with Adobe InDesign/Photoshop, Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint/SharePoint

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Internship Program
The Fine Art Group offers hands-on, virtual internships for recent graduates and individuals with diverse backgrounds in the art world. This program provides first-hand experience in TFG’s appraisal, marketing, and business development divisions, in which the interns work directly with the corresponding advisors and teams.

Selected candidates must possess an exceptional work ethic, excellent time management skills, and a detail-oriented and professional demeanor, taking accountability for their tasks. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in art through work experience or studies and be motivated to excel in the gallery and auction market. Proficiency in Office, Adobe Creative, and some third-party database administration.

TFG internships last from 3-4 months and are offered as full-time positions.

Appraisal Management Intern:

The Appraisal Management Intern will support the Appraisal and Advisory Departments by working with our team of experienced art appraisers. We seek a detail-oriented intern with a keen interest in and knowledge of art and antiques. The selected candidate should also have an outstanding work ethic, efficient time management, and collaboration in teamwork.

Intern responsibilities include:
• Researching and cataloging antiques.
• Assisting with on-site client visits and appraisals.
• Formatting/editing documents and images for internal system tracking.

The intern will also collaborate with other departments to provide administrative and operational support.
