James Knight joined The Fine Art Group in 2022 as a collector car consultant. Based in the UK, James works to provide expert knowledge on the motor car industry for our global client base. With thirty seven years of experience in the motor car auction industry, James is well regarded for his wide-ranging knowledge, experience, and capability across the motor sector. James begun his career at Christie’s Motoring Department in 1984. Alongside Robert Brooks, James helped to establish the specialist car collectors’ car auction house Brooks Auctioneers in 1989. Brooks Auctioneers became so successful that they purchased Bonhams in 2000 and merged under the household name. Since then, James has acted as Bonhams Group Motoring Chairman and executive Board Director on Bonhams.
