Elena Ratcheva was born in Bulgaria, raised in the United Kingdom and now calls New York her home. She has over 15 years’ experience in the commercial art world, having spent the large majority of her career working for global auction houses in London and New York. Elena is a Director in the Art Advisory team and uses her extensive expertise and experience to assist private and corporate clients with the management and development of their art collections. Elena’s particular area of focus is Impressionist & Modern Art, and she has a great deal of knowledge in the Modern British, Scottish and 19th century European art markets.
Elena was previously an Assistant Vice-President and Specialist in Impressionist & Modern Art at Sotheby’s New York and Specialist and Head of Sale in Modern British Art at Christie’s in London. She holds Masters degrees in History of Art from Cambridge University and the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.
