Brendin McDermott brings deep expertise in operational transformation, financial strategy, and business leadership. At Sotheby’s, he rose to Senior Vice President, Strategy Director & Director of NY Service Operations, where he managed global teams of roughly 100 employees and contractors. While at Sotheby’s, Brendin spearheaded initiatives that delivered operational efficiencies and revenue growth by empowering high-performing teams, streamlining processes, and leveraging strategic technology investments. He advanced through progressively senior roles spanning business intelligence, finance, marketing, digital development and operations, demonstrating versatility across the organization’s core functions. Prior to Sotheby’s, Brendin did change management consulting at Consolidated Edison on behalf of Accenture and developed multiple real estate projects, including a hotel and James Beard award-winning restaurant. He holds an MBA from NYU Stern with specializations in Finance, Marketing, and Real Estate, and a BBA in Finance and BA in Art History.
